Premier Jeremy Rockliff must immediately apologise for ripping off Tasmanian consumers and handing them exorbitant power prices because of the Liberals’ broken promises.
Mr Rockliff’s focus on a brochure highlighting the massive rise in power prices under 10 years of Liberal government simply underlines the mess the Liberals have made of their own energy policy and the suffering they have caused.
Tasmanians’ power bills have gone up by almost $500 for the average household – because the Liberals broke their promise to cap power prices.
And, instead of acting now to help Tasmanians in need, the Premier would rather attack Labor.
Tasmanians are not suffering because of a brochure. They are suffering because of this government’s failed energy policy and broken promises.
Labor has been and will continue to campaign for a cap on power prices. We will keep going because we know this government is out of touch and does not understand the cost of living pressures that Tasmanians are under.
