I am honoured to have had the opportunity to represent the people of Rumney for the past term and I am looking forward to another six years of standing up for the community I call home.
Over the past few weeks I’ve knocked on thousands of doors in the electorate and the key issues facing constituents are clear.
People are struggling with long wait times for healthcare, for both urgent and elective surgery.
People are struggling to put a roof over their heads, with rental shortages, unattainable house prices and record social housing waitlists.
People are struggling with the cost-of-living, with skyrocketing power bills and inflation.
At the same time, the Liberal Government wants to spend hundreds-of-millions of taxpayer dollars on a second stadium in Hobart that we don’t need and can’t afford.
This Liberal Government’s priorities are all wrong. They have been in power for nearly ten years, and if they were going to fix the key issues of health, housing and cost-of-living they would have done so by now.
I am proud to live in Rumney, which is a fantastic and diverse electorate that is experiencing significant population growth.
I am passionate about representing the real interests of Rumney, and the Tasmanian Labor team understands what’s needed for a better future.
A vote for me is a vote for better health, housing and cost-of-living, a better Rumney, and a better Tasmania.
