The implementation plan is a critical next stage in the Commission of Inquiry process.
Victim survivors and whistle blowers have had the courage to share their experiences to help keep children safe in the future and it’s time now for the government to demonstrate that hasn’t been in vain.
I think it’s fair to say that the state government’s response to the report has so far been lacking.
The victim survivors have done their bit, it’s time now for the government - and all of us - to do ours.
We will be closely scrutinising the implementation plan to ensure that this is the case including at parliamentary hearings next week.
