Hypocritical Howlett’s chance to answer questions

15 November 2024

After again refusing to provide an answer to straightforward questions last week, Minister Jane Howlett has an opportunity to finally demonstrate some transparency.

The Minister should provide an answer to a growing number of questions hanging over her head, including:

  • What does she say to allegations surrounding a potential conflict of interest in her role at the time as sports minister?

  • How much taxpayer-funded legal assistance has she received since 2022?

  • And is it true that on the same day she was issuing attack releases about the use of taxpayer funds last week, that she was in fact attending the races at the Melbourne Cup, with flights and accommodation paid for by taxpayers?

There’s no reason Minister Howlett can’t answer these questions.

If the Minister wants to be in the media, she should be ready to answer questions.

Shadow Minister for Health
