Liam McLaren
Candidate for Clark
Liam has always believed that real leadership starts by stepping up, especially when it’s hard.
Born and raised on a dairy farm in Tasmania’s far north-west, Liam has a deep understanding of community, hard work and fairness, values that have shaped every step of his journey.
After moving to Hobart, Liam became President of the Tasmanian University Student Association. From tackling student food insecurity to standing up for those often unheard, he has worked relentlessly to ensure young Tasmanians aren’t just seen, but valued and respected.
Liam believes in progress, not for its own sake, but for the sake of the people left behind when things stay the same. He listens first, leads by example, and believes that discussion is only meaningful if it includes those you disagree with.
Whether you voted for him or not, Liam will show up for you, represent you, and treat your voice with the respect it deserves. Because for Liam, it’s not about being right. It’s about doing right, by the people of Clark and for Tasmania’s future.
