Luke Moore

Luke Moore

Candidate for Bass

Luke is a Marine Engineer and Offshore Installation Manager.
He raised 2 wonderful young Tasmanians with his beautiful wife Katherine. Unfortunately, his family lost Katherine to MND, a devastating disease that she fought bravely and with great grace to the end.
Luke knows how tough life can be. He was Katherine's primary carer but couldn’t do it alone. He knows how important family, friends, healthcare and community support are, and that with the increasing pressure on our healthcare and community organisations not everyone has access to the support they need.
Throughout his career Luke has had clear goals to get the job done safely, efficiently and with integrity. He is running for state parliament because he believes we need that same approach now here in Tasmania. That we have the energy, space, people, an incredible natural environment and the will to create high-paying, future-focused jobs — the kind that not only keep our young people here, but bring back those who’ve left.
Luke envisages a future for Tasmania in which we build world-class sustainable industries in places like Bell Bay and attract high tech IT, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and maritime technologies that respect our environment while powering our future.
But to do that, Luke knows we need leadership that actually delivers. He has spent his career offshore, leading people through pressure and complexity. He knows how to make tough decisions, and how to deliver results.
