Party Rules and Resources

The Party Rules are our primary governing document and constitution. This outlines how the Party operates and what the democratic decision-making processes are. Changes to the Rules can be made at the annual Tasmanian Labor Conference.

Code of Conduct

The Labor Party is a place for everyone to participate, safely and respectfully.

Reflective of this commitment, a national Code of Conduct and Associated Policies have been harmonised across the Party nationally. This sets an expected standard of behaviour, as well as processes for managing complaints should they arise.

The Code and Policies apply to the conduct of all Tasmanian Labor members, Parliamentarians, officials, employees, contractors and volunteers, who each agree they are familiar with and are bound by this Code and the Associated Policies. They also apply to any person who attends an ALP gathering or event.

All members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the policies.
