Eric Abetz has continued his proxy war against the Rockliff Government, this time undermining both the Premier and Treasurer in criticism of his own government’s tax settings.

Abetz was quoted in a LinkedIn post made by a lobbyist, where he took a swipe at Tasmania’s high tax structures, even though his own Treasurer has said Tasmania is very tax competitive.

The post was endorsed by Abetz and it’s just the latest example of his dissatisfaction with Premier Rockliff’s leadership.

In the wake of the Leonie Hiscutt affair last week, Clarence Mayor and Abetz acolyte Brendan Blomeley launched a scathing public attack on the Premier calling him “weak”, “pathetic” and expressed that “he needs to go”.

How many more public barbs will Abetz throw at Premier Rockliff before he decides to act?
