Treasurer Guy Barnett has once again shown why the Liberals can’t be trusted with the economy.

Using a cherry-picked metric to spruik an Australian Bureau of Statistics release about the value of construction work, the Treasurer conveniently left out the headline figure which shows that Tasmania recorded the worst quarterly result in the nation.

This is the same Treasurer who – despite collecting credit outlook downgrades like they are going out of fashion as he drags Tasmania towards $10 billion of debt – thinks there’s nothing wrong with his fiscal approach.
