Did Rockliff ask Ferguson to resign?

27 August 2024

Michael Ferguson’s resignation statement continued to blame TT-Line for the biggest infrastructure stuff up in Tasmania’s history.

It is clear Mr Ferguson still does not accept responsibility.

The Premier should answer some very simple questions today.

Did he ask Michael Ferguson to resign from the infrastructure portfolio?

And, given the Berth 3 infrastructure is still being delivered by TT-Line, not TasPorts, and TT-Line is overseen by the Transport and Treasury portfolios, how does Mr Ferguson’s departure from a separate portfolio change anything?

Anita Dow MP
Deputy Labor Leader
Shadow Minister for Infrastructure
