Does the Jacqui Lambie Network back Jacqui Lambie?

16 August 2024

Each of the three Jacqui Lambie Network MPs need to say whether they back their leader Jacqui Lambie’s calls for Deputy Premier Michael Ferguson to resign.

Michael Ferguson was a disaster as Health Minister. The new Spirts project is the biggest infrastructure stuff up in Tasmanian history, and he's just handed down a record budget deficit as Treasurer. He has now been accused of misleading a Parliamentary inquiry and sacking the Spirits boss in a desperate attempt to keep him quiet.

The three Jacqui Lambie Network MPs were elected on a platform of transparency and accountability. Their voters wanted fighters who would hold the government's feet to the fire.

It's time for the Jacqui Lambie Network MPs to decide: do they have confidence in the calls made by their leader Jacqui Lambie, or do they have confidence in Michael Ferguson?

Are they the Jacqui Lambie Network, or Just Liberals Now?

Leader of Opposition Business in the House of Assembly
