Federal Labor’s ability to manage money has allowed them to deliver relief and invest for the future while delivering the biggest improvement to the budget bottom line in a single parliamentary term.

By contrast, the State Liberals have completely wrecked the budget with 11 years of wasteful spending and now Premier Rockliff is selling off Tasmania’s assets to pay down his legacy record debt, which will have disastrous consequences for the state and drive up the cost-of-living for Tasmanians.

Labor will stand up against Premier Rockliff’s desperate privatisation plans that will destroy essential public services and rob future generations of the revenue we need to pay for our schools and hospitals.
