Jane Howlett shouldn’t throw stones from her glass house

07 November 2024

Before Jane Howlett questions the integrity of anybody else, she should be honest with the Tasmanian people about a few matters herself.

Is Ms Howlett under investigation by the Integrity Commission?

What does she say to allegations she was in a close personal relationship with JackJumpers CEO Simon Brookhouse, leading to potential conflict of interest in her role as Sports Minister?

How much taxpayer funded legal assistance has she received since 2022?

And can she confirm she has spent the last few days away at the races at the Melbourne Cup, with flights and accommodation paid for by taxpayers?

Rebecca White’s flights and accommodation were not paid for by the Tasmanian taxpayers. She is on leave and has chosen to spend it volunteering on Kamala Harris’ campaign.

Rebecca White has answered Jane Howlett’s questions, now will Jane Howlett answer the questions hanging over her head?

Ella Haddad MP
Shadow Minister for Health
