Liberals out of touch on health

13 July 2025

The Liberals have shown just how out of touch they have become on health after 11 years in government.

When Labor announced we would be bringing back a doctors' clinic in Risdon Vale that closed under the Liberals, all Health Minister Jacquie Petrusma could say is that we were “pork barrelling”.

Does Ms Petrusma also believe people living in Burnie shouldn’t have access to a free doctor either? Or people living in Ravenswood?

After 11 years of the Liberals, Tasmanians across the state are struggling to see a doctor when they need it, and it’s near impossible to find free appointments.

Tasmania needs a fresh start, and the only way to make that happen is to vote Labor.

Ella Haddad MP
Shadow Minister for Health
