Bringing the Parliament back for a day to pass essential budget bills should have been a mere formality, but not for Jeremy Rockliff’s minority government.

An error in the supply bill has held today’s proceedings up by hours. Ironically, the error was in Jeremy Rockliff’s own department.

Jeremy Rockliff’s team has spent the entire long-weekend breathlessly making personal attacks, when they should have been focused on getting the basics right.

It’s a perfect example of what’s wrong with the Minority Rockliff Government.

If they can’t even get the basics right, how can they be trusted to govern the state?
