Labor is the strongest supporter of vital jobs on the West Coast.
In my first full day as Labor Leader I have made it my priority to come to the West Coast and talk to workers in the aquaculture and mining industries about their jobs.
I am proud of my West Coast roots, and I understand the importance of these industries to the entire state.
But as Jeremy Rockliff continues to cobble together a dirty deal with MPs openly against key industries, workers are right to question if the new Government has their interests at heart.
It wasn’t long ago the Liberals called the JLN “anti worker and pro Green”, pointing out that they don’t support salmon farming in Macquarie Harbour among other critical industries.
Less than a month later and Jeremy Rockliff has struck a deal with them.
It is becoming clearer and clearer that only Labor has the backs of workers on the West Coast.
Jobs in industries like aquaculture and mining are critical to our state, and Labor won’t stop standing up for them.
