Rockliff commits insurance fraud
Premier Rockliff has committed insurance fraud on every single Tasmanian.
He knew the day he announced TasInsure that he could never deliver it. He claimed he had modelling, but all he had was a branded jacket.
He claimed Tasmanians would save $250 off their insurance, but instead their cost of insurance will just keep on going up.
He attacked the corporate insurance industry, but instead paid an insurance executive $100,000 to tell him his policy would not work.
Jeremy Rockliff lied about this policy. He lied over and over again and it’s Tasmanian households and businesses who will pay.
TasInsure was sold to Tasmanians as cost-of-living relief. Now it has been watered down into another bureaucracy, with no savings, no cheaper policy, and no explanation of how Tasmanians will be better off.
Premier Rockliff made a promise he could not keep, claimed it was backed by modelling that did not exist, and now wants Tasmanians to pretend none of it happened.
The Premier should apologise to every Tasmanian who won’t be getting the cost-of-living relief he promised them.
