Tasmanian Labor welcomes the Federal Government’s stadium GST exemption.

We want to see this project built so it can support jobs and stimulate a flatlining economy.

Given the track record of the Tasmanian Liberals when it comes to infrastructure development, every bit of support from the Federal Government is welcomed.

It is very rich of Treasurer Guy Barnett to claim credit given the Liberals didn’t know anything about today’s announcement.

It’s important to remember that it wasn’t until Labor asked about the stadium GST in Question Time last year that the Rockliff government sought an exemption.

Now the Premier’s mess has been cleaned up by the Federal Government, we look forward to seeing this project progress.
