Will the Greens admit they remain strongly opposed to our AFL teams?

04 April 2025

It’s coming up to the two-year anniversary of when the Greens withdrew their support for Tasmania’s two AFL teams.

The media release is still on their website and at no point have they walked the position back.

The Greens are anti-housing, anti-renewables, anti-development, and anti-Tasmanian AFL teams.

Labor has been clear. We support Tasmania’s AFL teams. We support a stadium. We want to see it built on time and on budget, and for that to happen it needs to pass through parliament.

The Greens don’t want a stadium, and that’s their choice. But it’s also a fact that they don’t support our AFL teams either – will they admit that today?.
